Tiradentes commemorates the 1792 death of
Joaquim José da Silva Xavier, a dentist turned rebel, was hung and quartered for his part in a movement towards liberating Brazil from Portugal.

Hung and quarted seems like overkill to me. (Which then reminds me of "The Office" episode where Dwight said that he would be called "The Overkill Killer." That has to be one of the funniest episodes. But, I digress...)

Wow! I wonder what it was about dentistry that made him go rebel? Maybe I could be a professional rebel? Or at least a rebel rouser?
