Time

Dear Summer-

Where did you go?! I don't even know where to send this letter to. One day we were happily playing in park, laying under the shade trees, and the next I was sitting in a classroom without windows feeling the walls close in on me. What am I going to do without you?
What did I do to offend you? Was it because I took summer school? I understand you are probably hurt by my offence and apparent lack of understanding your very essence, but I didn't mean anything by it. I thought I could do it all, but as soon as I realized that was not possible, and school is a contradiction to summer, I dropped the second class! (I had to finish the first class--did you want me to get a bad grade and have to take summer classes again next year?) I'm sorry! Please forgive me and come back. I NEED you!
...You could at least call my school and tell them it's still summer time...then we could enjoy a few more evenings in the park. I bought a light-up Frisbee so we can play. OH! Or you can tell my that it's still summer and we need to close the office. That way they will get out their wind-surfers and you can play with all of us! For a whole day! Doesn't that sound nice?
Love,
Heather

I went into Macy's the other day to look at clothes and thought, "Why is everything so brown and fall-ish?" And then it hit me that it will be September next week. I think my office is a time-warp.

Oh, the good 'ole days of summer! That's the main reason I'm even considering being a teacher--summer vacation!

Maybe I am the only one here ready for summer to end. Really, this feeling has only come about in the last two weeks with the flooding. Hmm, why should I hate summer just because of a little rain, you ask? Well, mostly because of the mosquitos! 8 gagillion of them per square cm. Take that for hating summer! Cold weather kills them. Hooray for Autumn.

Amanda have you read 1749. Or Fever 1749 or something like that. Rachel lent it to me once. I'll think you'll sympathize with the main character

We got rained on last night!! ...it's not so much the head I liked about summer...just the ease of life it brings with it. no one expects you to go out and work hard in the heat...I can get days off work easily to play...

Ok, I'm sorry. I didnt get to proof read that one...It should be "heaT of the summer," not "head." ...And I didnt capitalize everything...

We are SO friends after Rachel's b-day! I think that definitely bonded us enough to read/comment on eachother's blogs! Considering I spent more than half of the summer in icky, disgusting Texas...I'm ready for it to be over! Sorry.

Ditto to Laura and Amanda -- no more summer! I'm ready for fall, which has always been my favorite season. Yay for September!

You guys are all really lucky I can't control the weather! ...I hope you realize how much harder it will be to dig my winter grave when I freeze to death! ;-)

Still wishing the summer would last forever, Heather?

Why, Yes. Yes I am.
