Things I love about CA

The beach. Disneyland. The mountains. The freeways-I know it sounds odd, but they ARE better. Hollywood. LA. Pasadena. Claremont. Corban Canyon. Santa Monica Pier. Claremont Colleges. Botanical Gardens. Venice Beach. Knott's Berry farm. Medieval Times. 3rd Street. Laying out and feeling the sun's rays on my skin. Free summer activities. The People. Bonfires at the beach. The fact that "I'm freezing" means "it's 60*F, and I have to put on a sweatshirt. Riding bikes at the beach. All the things you find hidden. Santa Barbara. The warmth of the sun. My friends who take me to a new restaurant at least once a month. Surfers. People who encourage me to read good books. Opening the sunroof and smelling the beach air. My house is an hour from just about everything, and 3 hours from Vegas and TJ. Seeing dolphins off the coast. The ability to pick a fav store, and know that there are 12 similar shops within a mile radius if I don't feel completely satisfied. Ruby's on the pier. Governor Arnold. CSU's that cost less than 1500 a semester. Catalina Island. Tornado season-we don't have them. DCA (Disney's California Adventure). The beach.

I'm glad you made this list.

You've reminded me of why I love California as well.

We should make a "Top 10 0r 20 Or 25" list of things to do, and then make plans to go and/or accomplish everything on the list!

We could even name our group of friends something catchy.

Hmm... let's all think on this.

So funny that you mentioned the list, because Rachel and I were just talking about making one-We will be excited to have your additions!!! Maybe you and I can start it on our non-coffee, coffee shop outting. :)

...although I do feel a little selfish that because of my sheltered childhood, we always do things that I've never done (which is pretty much everything anyone suggests)...I'm sorry guys! But thanks for opening my eyes to all sorts of new excitements! That's real friendship.

I have a feeling that you and Rachel were talking about all the fun things California has to offer on your long ride back home from Arizona. I agree that there is so much more to do in California but I'm determined to find something fun here in AZ so that we don't have to resort to Rawhide the next time you come! :)

Hahaha Actually, I think it came up as we drove past things and I said "I've never been there." So we decided to make the list...and then it spread to other things...
...But I did make my post as a result of the trip...and I'm sorry if that was insensitive...but...

You, Andrea are enough of a reason to go to AZ, and definately enough entertainment. As long as you keep letting us dress you up and take pictures, we'll keep visiting you. :-)

You can visit whenever you want, but I'll have to think about the hat thing!

Seriously Andrea, you can't resist the persuasive nature of those that you love! We could convince you to wear fishnet stockings with a kilt while wearing a Santa cap and holding one of those singing Fish wall hangings. I just know it. Rachel and Heather, this is meant as a suggestion for the next time you see her. I would really pay money for that picture!
Also, I think that you should make the list and check things off, but I'm beyond sad that I won't get to do them with you. I will of course send Flat Amanda back for those field trips. Or, if you would prefer me busty, I'll send Not So Flat Amanda. Let me know.

Heather - you are right on. Trust one who left CA for a 4 year stint in Texas.

I am all for the list of fun/interesting things to do as long as I get to come! Liz - remember Museum Days that we started right before I left for TX? I think we went to two, but it was fun - except for the incident in the train station in LA. You and Wendy know what I mean!!

Oooo! Laura--You reminded me of Rachel and Katie's family trips on public transportation--I think we should do that!!!

OK--I've started my list. Let me know what you think I should add.
